Costco is requiring all members wear face masks to enter and I would imagine that many retailers in Skagit County will follow suit. A lot of local Skagitonians are making cloth face masks and it would be wonderful if we could keep the money we spend on them in our community. Check the list below for people making and selling cloth face masks in Anacortes, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, Mount Vernon and more towns across Skagit County!

As we find ourselves in a Stay Home - Stay Healthy situation in Washington State, I've decided to add virtual events to the events calendar that you may find fun for your family to participate in. Check back often to see what I've found for you!!

Washington is moving into a phased opening of the state as of May 5th. We recognize that this is going to be a confusing period of time with varying opinions on what people should and shouldn’t be doing. For over 7 years, Skagit Kid Insider has been a reliable source of information for our community. We will continue to provide updates on the outdoor spaces and activities that are open under government guidelines. This does not constitute an endorsement or a suggestion that we jump back into a “normal” way of life. Masks are encouraged if you are out in public spaces, click here to buy masks locally. During this time we encourage everyone to be informed and do what they feel is best for their own family.
