Meet an Astronaut - Anacortes: FREE
Join the Anacortes Library staff as they host Astronaut Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper in partnership with the Anacortes School District. Captain Piper will be speaking at 7:00 pm at the Anacortes High School Commons.
Captain Piper has flown on two space shuttle missions, been on five space walks, and has received numerous honors and awards. She retired from the US Navy after 30 years of service. Captain Piper will share some of her experiences aboard two space flights and as part of the team assembling the International Space Station with our community.
